levitation
The aim of the task for levitation is to capture different adaptations of movement. Were trying to achieve a style of movement that is different from the "jump" project this is shown by the facial expressions of the subjects used, the faces here are shown to be more natural whereas in the "jump" movement it captures the side that no one sees.
Good! Now, write the following below:
- a couple of sentences about Yowa Yowa
- about the type of work she makes and how she makes it
- your opinions about her work and why
- how you will use her work to inspire yours
yowa yowa
Yowa Yowa is her "stage name" her real name is Natsumi Hayashi, her current residence is in Japan. Her work mainly focuses on self portraits of levitation and her cats. The way her levitation images are taken is by asking someone else mainly her friend to press there shutter release button, firstly asking her friend to stand in a proper position so she can get the proper composition and focus. Then she swaps and the picture is taken in time with her jumps. I think her work is different and brave as she takes pictures of herself in unique positions. I'll use her work to make sure that my pictures are in focus and have a prop to accentuate the levitation.

The lighting conditions were cloudy and the best way to get the image right were you want it you have to take the picture just a couple of seconds before they are in the potion that is wanted. It would of been even better if i produced a picture with better composition.
Tips: Its best that the model keeps their feet as straight as possible and they jump without their facial expression changing.
I don't think i would shoot this again because it is very simaler to the jump series although, but it was different in the way that facial expressions have to be controlled and that props could be used and it was fun.
Good tips! The one of Tyler on the left is the best, in my opinion, as there is no blur at all. Why don't you enlarge this so it really stands out. Is this a project you may want to shoot again? If so, explain why.

zoom blur
This is an effect used to capture the movement of the zoom in pictures. It links to movement through the stillness of the subject but the depth placed onto the picture with the camera.

internal responce - zoom blur
The picture would of been better had I kept the camera more firm and steady, so that it would be more focused. I also think what made these pictures work well was the actual effect of the zoom blur and I captured the movement well. My favourite picture is the third picture because it has the most shadowing and depth in the picture and i do think i achieved what I set out to do.
Explain which photo is the best and why. Do you need to re-shoot anything? Have you achieved what you set out to do?
"The picture would have been better."
Remember to use CAPITAL letters for the beginning of sentences and use of I.
Re-read all of your writing and include proper punctuation. It's = it is
movement of the figure
This transcribes a ghost like effect causing horror and paranoia.

PROVIDENCE RHODE ISLAND

In the image Francesca is seen to be wearing a juxtaposing dark outfit compared to her surroundings that are represented in the square frame. The interior of the room is bare but at the bottom of the picture there is a point where the dark and light of the room are separated due to a skirting board.
Woodman is bending almost looks like shes lunging in the picture, her body facing away from the camera her body being blurred with the exception of her ankles due to the motion. By doing this Francesca has totally blurred out her face. She is experimenting with the exposure time by placing a slow shutter speed on her camera and manipulating the light so she can capture the movement of her body. This photograph is part of a series titled Space². Woodman often worked in series, presenting single images under a common title. All the images that constitute the Space² series feature the artist’s body in a similar interior space. |

Very good representation of your editing using print screen shots.
Your final image looks very dark. Can you lighten it up a bit so there isn't so much black in your background?
gIf-portrait disorder
The way these images are, is a lossless format for image files that supports both animated and static images. I want to achieve a still picture with layers that is then seen as a moving image.
romain lurant
Originally from the French alps he was born in 1993, now 27, studying design in Paris since 2006 now working as a freelance photographer in Paris. He has won many awards for his work. The piece that put him on the map is his tilt series last year and working in fashion photography and advertising work. His work consists of skilled photo shop on human subjects making lucid and vivid images.
I like how photo shop is used in all his images making his picture seem the much more unrealistic but believable, the inspiration that I will take from his pieces are the originality and uniqueness of the pictures. also the otherworldly effect his pictures give the audience. By doing this it will improve my skills in photo shop and the clarity of my pictures. His work is categorised into three different categorise: moving, not moving and half moving, his half moving pictures are also known as GiFs which is a style he is known for.

light painting
micheal bosanko
Micheal uses simple items to create his images i.e light sticks a torches. The images he creates are planned out before hand and how he will create the images. He has always loved to take pictures and it is unknown to him where his love for photography came from. His love grew as he took pictures of Scotland and the streets of Glasgow and street photography in general. Light painting for him started in 2004 when Bosanko was in Greece. He discovered the style of photography by a total accident. His tripod was kicked over and the moon made a streak in the picture and he became fascinated by the image the made movements with his camera using the moon as a source of light. Then moved on to torches. He uses very few specialist tools and uses any types of objects that create light. |
internal response - light painting
WWW: The composition of the pictures was good because it matched up with light and the light was in focus.
EBI:To use colour and use more complex shapes and to choose a location were there isn't so much ambient light.

second response - light painting
WWW: I think I did better in this picture because I went to a different location were there was less ambient light as well as using colour. EBI: If the drawing of the pictures were done better. Also if the surrounding were darker so the image would look more like it was floating, because its still not as dark as wanted. |
travelling without movement
my final piece
The strength of the picture was in the composition but because the file is to big the clarity of the picture wasn't as great as it originally was.Romain Lurant and Dominic Harris were my inspirations.
